Google Developer Student Clubs

Google Developer Student Clubs

Google Developer Student Clubs(DSCs) are community groups for college and university students interested in Google developer technologies. It allows students to try new ideas and collaborate to solve mobile and web development problems,machine learning and cloud skills. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome.

AIM

To create university-based communities for students interested in Google technologies.
To flourish these communities with a vision to create-innovate-collaborate to build solutions for the future.
To equip and train students with essential skillsets to facilitate a smooth transition from graduation to working in a corporate.

OBJECTIVE

  1. Connect -  Meet local developers and technologists including those with diverse backgrounds and from various companies and industries
  2. Learn  - Learn about a range of technical topics and gain new skills through hands-on workshops, training, events, talks, and meetups - both online and in person.
  3. Connect-  Apply your knowledge and connections to build great products and advance your skills, career and network. Give back to your community by helping others learn, too.

Our Achievements

1. Honorable Mention at DSC Solution Challenge 2020.
2. Secured 54th Rank at Global Coding Challenge organized by Credit Suisse, with 7 members achieving Global Rank under 1000.
3. Two teams from DSC MESCOE were selected in the top 20 of Code off Duty, a Nationwide Hackathon.
4. Successfully trained over 250+ members in Google Cloud Platform and 100+ members in Kotlin.
5. Contributed over 10+ projects and various programming algorithms towards Open Source during Hacktoberfest
6. Published Research Papers.
7. Interning at companies.

Model UN Club

Model UN Club

Model United Nations (MUN) Club is a place where students of MESCOE will have a chance to not only develop their soft skills but can also participate in International Model United Nations events to broaden their horizons and make international connections. Students have the opportunity to improve their communication skills, critical thinking skills along with diplomatic skills. It will help students to develop their overall personality and will help build their confidence.

AIM

Objective

  1. To Welcome the new students, relieve their anxieties and make them feel comfortable.
  2. To develop a rapport between the club and the new students.
  3. To inspire the new students with a good attitude towards the club and coordinators.
  4. To acquaint new registrants with club goals, management, traditions and activities.
  5. To communicate to new registrants what is expected of them, their role and how they should handle themselves.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or M.U.N., is an educational simulation and academic activity in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. Participants in Model United Nations conferences, known as delegates, are placed in committees and assigned countries to represent, or occasionally other organizations or political figures, where they represent members of that body. Delegates are assigned countries before the conference, along with receiving a topic, or topics, that their committee will discuss. They conduct research before conferences, formulate position papers and come up with policy proposals that they will then debate with their fellow delegates in the committee, staying true to the actual position of the country or organization they represent

ROBOCLUB

Roboclub is a co-curricular programme in colleges, where the members apply their theoretical knowledge and build robots to solve real-world problems.

What is a Robot? A robot is any machine-programmable or non-programmable which works automatically or with a controller to replace human efforts.

Encouraging students to think innovatively and introduce them to the field of Robotics.
Groom the students with the fundamentals of robotics through workshops and all the recent Industrial Projects.
Motivate students to work together, organize and participate in various intra and inter college events.

NAKSHATRA ASTRONOMY CLUB

Nakshatra Astronomy Club was established on 29th February 2020. It is an initiative taken up by the students from all departments of our college.

AIMS

This society in our college aims to nurture students in that direction which will open a completely untouched field for the students to explore themselves, not only do we aim to cover all the technical aspects of it but also the philosophical aspects as well.

Objectives

  1. Practical experience in using astronomical instruments like Telescope.
  2. To expose students to the current research in the field of astronomy and astrophysics and the future scope in the same field.

SAE/BAJA

SAE BAJA is an International intercollegiate competition organized by the SAE. Teams of students from colleges all over the country design and build small off-road buggies. The goal is to design, manufacture and race off-road vehicles that can withstand the harsh elements of rough terrain. There are multiple dynamic events, usually four per competition, as well as a single four-hour endurance race. The dynamic events include hill climbs, maneuverability events, rock crawls, and suspension & traction events.
