Hostel (Boys & Girls)

The College provides Hostel Accommodation in the premises for boys and girls. Hostels are equipped with all modern amenities conveniences and comforts. The rooms are well ventilated and are suitably furnished. A new hostel is constructed with independent facility block containing separate mess and reading halls for boys and girls.The old girls’ hostel can accommodate 91 girls, new hostel can provide accommodation to 352 boys and 264 girls. Round the clock security is provided to both the hostels and it is under CCTV surveillance.Prof. A. Y. Devare, Vice Principal of Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology and Dr. Prakash N. Chaudhary, Vice Principal of Ness Wadia College of Commerce are the Wardens of Gents and Ladies Hostel respectively.The College Hostel, located within the college campus, consists of two blocks, one each for boys and girls. It is a residence hostel for full time graduate and postgraduate students admitted to MESCOE. All community areas like dining room, common room, recreation room, wash room etc., are provided separately for boys and girls.

The Hostel Committee, under the Chairmanship of Principal, frames the rules and regulations of the Hostel from time to time and is the final authority in matters concerning the management of the hostels.
Students should maintain peace and decorum in the hostel. Students involved in ragging in hostel are liable for severe punishment. Round the clock Security is provided in the hostel buildings. The necessary housekeeping services are provided to maintain the cleanliness. The college authorities will not be responsible for the loss of any personal valuables. Students will not be allowed to stay away from the hostel beyond 10.00 pm. For detailed rules and regulations refer hostel notice board. Hostel fees including service and other charges are to be paid in advance.

UG FAQ's
  1. What are the criteria for engineering Admissions ?

    Candidates intending to apply for B. E. should pass XIIth examination in English with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry(could be replaced with permissible technical vocational subject) and Mathematics. Further, the candidate is also required to have a valid score in MHT – CET / JEE (Main) for that Year. For reservation 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  2. What is the application Process?

    The application process for engineering admission is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra. It is MANDATORY for the candidate to REGISTER and ENROL on the website for becoming part of the Central Admission Process.

  3. I Would like to take admission at the Institutional round, is it still mandatory for me to register and enroll on the DTE web portal ?

    YES. Registration and Enrolment on the web portal of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra is MANDATORY.

  4. Can students from other states of India take admission through the central admission process?

    YES but, they should have a valid score in MH – CET / JEE (Main) for that Year and should pass XIIth examination in English with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

  5. What is the eligibility for availing the scholarship?

    Candidate should be domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and produce all required documents as per scholarship category and prevailing norms.

  6. What is the difference between the B.E and B.Tech

    Practically there is no difference. B. E. is Bachelor of Engineering & B. Tech. is Bachelor of Technology. In the state of Maharashtra most of the universities have named the engineering course as BE while IIT’s & few autonomous institutes like COE, Pune have named their programmes as B.Tech. Students are requested to go through the syllabus to know more about the programme.

  7. : Do you separate boys and Girls hostels? What are the Fees for the Hostel and Mess?

    YES.
    Hostels including mess charges for the year 2019-20 were as follows.
    Boys Hostel
    • 3 Seater - 60,000/- per annum + 10,000 security deposit = 70000
    • 4 Seater - 52500/- per annum + 10,000 security deposit = 62500
    • 16 Seater - 40000/- per annum + 10,000 security deposit = 50000
    New Girls Hostel
    • 2 Seater - 65,000/- per annum + 10,000 security deposit = 75000
    • 3 Seater - 58000/- per annum + 10,000 security deposit =68000
    • 16 Seater - 38000/- per annum + 10,000 security deposit =48000
    Old Girls Hostel
    • 2 Seater - 52,000/- per annum + 7,500 security deposit =59500
    • 3 Seater - 48000/- per annum + 7,500 security deposit =55500
    • 4 Seater - 44000/- per annum + 7,500 security deposit =51500
    • 16 Seater - 35000/- per annum + 7,500 security deposit =42500
    including breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea.

  8. Do you have security and Medical facilities in the college and Hostel?

    YES, the hostel and college areas are under CCTV coverage with round-the-clock security guards. For medical emergencies, the college has a Medical officer.

  9. What Sports facility do you provide?

    We have all types of outdoor and indoor game facilities like a cricket ground, football ground, basketball ground, fully equipped gymnasium, table tennis, and many more sports facilities.

  10. Do you have NSS and NCC

    YES.

  11. Am I required to submit an Immunization Form?

    As per the government Notifications.

    The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology of Any Recognized University in the concerned discipline;

    Location of College is at center place of city, Near Pune railway station, Metro station and City Bus stop.

  7. Is hostel facility available for ME?

    Yes, Based on first come first based. We have Huge Hostel in campus only.

  8. Is Placement for ME available ?

    Yes, MESCOE have Training and placement department. T&P department will provide placement assistance for eligible candidates.

  9. Is Internship for ME available ?

    Yes, MESCOE have Training and placement department. T&P department will provide Internship for eligible candidates.

  10. Is Stipend for ME students available ?

    Yes, The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had announced a Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme for MTech, ME, MArch and MPharm students for the year 2020-2021. ... Under this scheme, qualified students admitted to AICTE approved institutions will receive a scholarship of Rs 12,400 per month for 24 months.
